It would be useful to have the ability to inspect textures loaded into Irrlicht, the renderer of the OpenBlox engine.
Here's an outline of how I plan to implement this, if I do:
The main interface will be another docked widget such as the Properties widget, with a table. The columns will be 1) A preview of the texture 2) The numeric id of the texture 3) The resource name, as passed from the AssetLocator/ContentProvider.
Double clicking on a row should open a new tab with a snapshot of the texture information at the time it was opened. All information available through the ITexture type as well as a larger preview of the texture should be present on this tab.
